She’s the definition of a confidence builder—kind, patient, and incredibly in tune with her rider. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced horse person, Pippin adapts to your level and always puts your safety and comfort first. She has a naturally smooth gait that’s easy to ride, will walk along on a loose rein, pick up into her gait when asked, and lope off into a nice canter. She’s been ridden by both children and adults and is safe for just about anyone. Pippin is extremely well broke with a soft one-hand neck rein, an easy stop, and a nice backup. On the trail, she’ll go absolutely anywhere you point her—crossing water, logs, hills—you name it. She rides out alone or in a group, is not barn or buddy sour, and gets along great with both gaited and non-gaited horses. While trail riding is her main job, she’s also been ridden in local play day events, parades, and has done some light arena work. She stands quietly to mount, even for riders who need extra time, and will ride double if needed. She’s easy to groom, tack up, and bridle, stands well for the farrier, and loads and hauls with no issues.
